EFL: JOHN TERRY BACK IN TRAINING
John Terry was out on the training ground with something to prove as Chelsea continued their preparations for Tuesday night’s EFL Cup clash with Leicester City.
Terry’s presence at training was a welcome sight as he continues his bid to prove his fitness and return to action.
The former England international missed his club’s defeat by Liverpool after straining ankle ligaments in the draw at Swansea on September 11, which was expected to rule him out for at least 10 days.
Terry took to Instagram on Sunday night to post a video of himself training in the pool, insisting he hoped to be ‘back soon’, and took part in Monday’s session.
The veteran was put through his paces with light running drills through a ladder and weaving through sticks as he continued his bid to prove his fitness.
It remains to be seen if John terry will play any part in Tonight’s fixture or at the weekend against city rivals Arsenal. Blues fans are of the opinion the team’s defence has lacked some solidity in the experienced defender’s absence and will be hoping he returns to action soon.
