All 23 players invited by Super Eagles coach Gernot Rohr for Saturday’s 2018 FIFA World Cup qualifying match against Algeria have now arrived in Abuja, the Nigeria Football Federation confirmed in a press release on Tuesday.

Only Belgium-based defender Elderson Echiejile was still making his way to the camp as at Tuesday evening. Coach Rohr and his assistants put the players through their paces twice on Tuesday. They will also train on Wednesday morning before flying to Uyo in the afternoon.

In camp are goalkeepers Daniel Akpeyi, Ikechukwu Ezenwa and Dele Alampasu; defenders Abdullahi Shehu, Musa Muhammed, Leon Balogun, William Paul Ekong, Kenneth Omeruo, Uche Agbo and Kingsley Madu; midfielders Mikel Obi, Ogenyi Onazi, John Ogu, Wilfred Ndidi and Oghenekaro Etebo; and forwards Victor Moses, Brown Ideye, Alex Iwobi, Kelechi Iheanacho, Moses Simon, Odion Ighalo and Ahmed Musa.

The Super Eagles go into the match on a four game winning streak, going back to the summer when they defeated Mali 1-0 in Rouen, France and beat Luxembourg 3-1 in Luxembourg City in friendly matches.

In September, the Eagles pipped Tanzania 1-0 in a 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in Uyo, before edging Zambia 2-1 in Ndola at the start of the 2018 FIFA World Cup race on 9 October.

Manchester City of England’s youthful forward Kelechi Iheanacho scored in all four matches.

Yougetmouth.com beleives the right combination for forwards will be Brown Ideye for his link up play although many will counter this by saying he misses far too many chances but he is adept at holding up the ball using his amazing physical frame. He can be paired with Simon and Iheanacho. With Iwobi behind stringing the passes. That combination should keep the ALgerians guessing defensively.
