Ozor told reporters during the five-hour parade that it was organised by the management of the club, saying in the coming days the team will be special guests of Enugu State governor, Gburugburu Ifeanyi Ugwuanyi at Lion Building, Enugu.

“His Excellency has other state engagements as well as the commissioner for sports, Charles Ndukwe,” Ozor said.

“But the commissioner was with us at the take-off point before joining the governor in his engagement.

“In the coming days, his excellency will receive the team at the government house.

“We couldnt have done this without government support. We needed to say thank you to the people who supported all through the season to record this achievement.

“We’re grateful to them all and pray they continue to support Rangers in our efforts to win the CAF Champions League next year whose preparation will commence immediately.”
