Super Eagles Dump Indomitable Lions Of Cameroon out of AFCON (player Ratings)
Games between Nigeria and Cameroon are never small affairs and Yesterday the Super Eagles were not given a Chance to beat Cameroon following their Poor last group game showing vs Madagascar. But the Super Eagles came good and showed their class and Experience by getting a 3-2 win and Qualify to meet South Africa in the Quarter finals.
So how did the eagles perform Individually?
lets find out
He was his Usual shaky self..He is like the Frank Spencer of Goal keepers. You just think he may trip himself on a run up and kick the Ball into his own net. Cannot be Blamed for any of the Goals as he was left exposed by poor defending
Poor game for Kenneth. At Fault for Cameroon’s two goals. The first,He Was poorly positioned on the cross that led to the Goal and then on the 2nd he was beaten in the air for the Flick on that Clinton Njie pounced on to score Cameroons 2nd
He was Largely ok.. but cannot be free from his own share of blame due to the litany of errors the whole defense were commiting to which he also added a few
Ola Aina: ——————–4.5
Was caught sleeping on his wing and was bullied by Cameroon’s N’jie who pushed past him to net the second goal.
Had difficulties coping with N’jie and Bassong’s pace and physicality but at some point but later grew into the game. Has a good level of stamina never stops running but lacks creativity in promising advanced places
Alex Iwobi: ————————-6.5
Eagles Celebrate Iwobi’s goal
One of the few players expected to push Nigeria to Victory, He had a torrid first few minutes with poor passing and poor decision making, but he will be remembered as theman that scored the winning goal for years to come.
Sat deep in the midfield and silently discharged his responsibility with ease. His combo with Wilfred Ndidi kept the Cameroonian midfielders from making any serious threat.
Put up a man of the match performance with two well-taken goals and an assist. What more can you really ask for? He gave the Cameroonian defense Nightmares with his positioning and experience.
man of the match ighalo
Ahmed Musa:————————– 7
Musa was his usual busy self but was finding it hard to deliver a good final pass or Final pass for a his teammate. That his chest pass to Ighalo for the equalizer was just a thing of beauty
Moses Simon: ——————– 6
Was a threat down the right but his decision making was poor and end-product also poor.
Samuel Chukwueze: ————–6
His introduction must have made the Cameroonians shit their Pants as no sooner had he entered the game we scored 2wice and Won.He didn’t really get the chance to show his trademark dribbling runs but definitely his presence gave the Super Eagles attack more life.
Leon Balogun: ———5
came in to ensure we close shop no much time to assess him.
Paul Onuachu: N/a
