Hazard soring his penalty
Chelsea could not extend their clean sheet neither could they pick all three points to move up to second place on the log as they were held to a hard fought 2-2 draw at the Emirates in a pulsating encounter that was evenly poised.
Antonio Conte feilded a strong side with Eden Hazard,Andreas Christensen and Cesc Fabregas all returning to the starting eleven after they were rested in the last fixture against Stoke City. Alvaro Moratta supposedly should have sleepless nights ruminating about how he missed three glaring one-on-one situations to the disbelief of fans and manager Conte.
The first was in the 15th minute when he raced through to the vital area with only Petr Cech to beat after a Calum Chambers mistake but the Spaniard shot wide Incredibly .Fabregas also missed a good chance to put Chelsea ahead after a fine back heel pass from Hazard in the box.Thibaut Courtois was also called into action when he saved Alexis Sanchez’s powerful right foot shot. The encounter was fast becoming a competition between the two Goalkeepers as Cech had to make a double save from Hazard and Marcos Alonso early in the second half.
Jack Wilshere should have been shown the exit door for a second bookable offence when he appeared to have dived off a tackle from Alonso but Referee Anthony Taylor decided otherwise.( all this ojoro English refs..una nor kpef at all).63rd minutes of play same Wilshere who has not scored for the gunners over two years now latched unto a ball in Chelsea’s vital area and smashed it home for Arsenal’s first goal but the jubilations were short-lived as Hazard won a penalty after Bellerin decided to kick Hazards Leg with the ball and converted calmly four minutes later.1-1 it was and the Emirates was electric with end to end burst of pace from both teams showing pure desire to bag all 3 points
Hazard was surprisingly taken off for Willian and it was the Brazilian’s Long ball that found David Zapacosta who replaced Victor Moses on the far right, the Italian right back beat Maitland-Niles to send a low cross and in came my favorite man of the moment Alonso with a tap in for his 7th goal of the season with just 6minutes to regulation time. Me sef at that point i thinks say na game over for Arsenal.
Maros Alonso steps up to give Chelsea the lead
Chelsea held on to the 90th minute with Arsenal pilling all the pressure to get an equaliser, it finally paid off in the 92nd minute when Bellerin fired home past Courtois.2-2 but there was still more action to watch.A long ball from Azpilicueta found Moratta and the striker was once again face to face with Cech but couldn’t pick his angle as the ball hit Cech (chai I almost break my TV because of this guy) Zappacosta lashed unto the rebound but hit the woodwork to the relief of the Arsenal faithfuls.Referee Taylor decided to end the encounter in the 95th minute of a very thrilling game of football.2-2 final score. I pity Conte sha.
