SKY REMAINS BLUE: CHELSEA SHOW SAY EVEN WITHOUT COSTA, DEM GET MOUTH PASS BOURNEMOUTH

On a weekend when other European leagues have all gone on winter breaks,The English premiership league was the cynosure of all eyes as Boxing day Match Day 18 fixtures was full of frills and thrills and the Stamford bridge faithfuls were yet again in joyful mood as Chelsea made it 12 wins in 12 games..a record for the club.

Once again Italian manager Antonio Conte displayed his tactical know-how and gave yet more reason why his exploits with Italian giant Juventus was not a fluke. The Run up to this boxing day fixture against Eddie Howe’s Bournemouth saw leading premiership goal scorer Diego Costa and holding midfielder Ngolo Kante suspended for picking up their fifth yellow cards of the season respectively. Meaning they both miss out.

Most pundits and football analysts believed chelsea might just struggle to get the job done as both players are instrumental to Chelsea’s run of fine form this season,Hence every fan and follower of the game waited with keen interest to witness how this will pan out..but Conte didn’t loose a sweat on the issue as he deployed Belgium play maker Hazard as a false 9 (central striker) with Willian and Pedro as support & it was the Spaniard that stole the day as his dashing runs made it difficult for the Bournemouth back four to cope with, you hardly know which foot he’s going to apply next..His left footed curler made its way to the left top corner of the net for Chelsea’s first goal after a sweet exchange of passes from Hazard to Cesc Fabregas and then to Pedro..

After the break.Chelsea pressed for more goals to be safe as they employed counter attacking football any time Bournemouth tried to attack keeping possesion even when the opponents looked offensive at different points. With Arseenal’s loanee Jack Wilshere’s efforts producing some excellent saves from Thibaut Courtious.

Eden Hazard got the second goal from the spot after he was brought down in the box and comfortably Chelsea were sailing..Conte felt the job was done and brought in Chalobah for Willian…but Pedro wasn’t done yet as another counter attacking display produced the third goal though there was a huge deflection enroute goal.so it was two goals for the Spaniard who had suffered lack of games under Jose Mourinho last season.

3-0 at the end..This goes to show its not about one or two players in Chelsea but about team spirit and total football. No doubt it will be pretty difficult for any team to stop Chelsea now as they’ve prooved to be unplayable.Next up.is Stoke city this weekend..
