CARDI B LOVED NAIJA, PROMISED TO BE BACK!

We have seen many stars from the US, UK etc come to Nigeria in the past from Usher, to Shaggy, to 50 Cent, Chris brown the list is endless. But few have come and within such a short time in the country felt the heart beat of the country quite like rapper Cardi B. Even days before her scheduled trip you could tell she was buzzing about making her first trip to the “Mother land” as Americans tend to call Africa. Her social Media platforms were agog with her stating her excitement at coming to Nigeria in a 2 stop trip to West Africa that would also see her visit Ghana.

The 27-year-old who arguably came to the scene and pulled the rug off Nicky Minaj’s feet is recognized by Forbes as one of the most influential female rappers in the Business. She performed at the Livespot X Festival on Saturday in Lagos, and left for Ghana today (Sunday).

Cardi B has not been able to hide her sheer joy in being in Nigeria, she stated how every one has been “Awfully nice” to her and have made her feel soo welcome.

The Bodak Yellow rapper has been flooding her Instagram page with raunchy pictures and videos to the delight of her over 55.2million followers one of such Videos saw her partying with Nigerian Stars Burna Boy, Zlatan and Davido.  She was seen drinking Guinness stout and singing along to Wizkid’s Ojuelegba to the delight of her fans who thronged the Venue.

She also performed too alongside the same Naija Stars like Burna Boy, Tiwa Savage, Teni, Patoranking, Joe Boy, Niniola and others

During the electrifying performance which featured some of her hit tracks ‘Bodak Yellow’, ‘Bartier Cardi’, ‘ I Like It That’, ‘Girls Like You’, ‘Money’, ‘Press’, ‘Backing It Up’, ‘Be Careful’ among many others.

One of the catchy attractions was her outfit, Her hair and dress were two shades of green and white.

she also wore a custom made mono strap jumpsuit with fringe details and bejeweled finishing. Cardi from her hotel room kept saying Lagos was beautiful apprently shocked she wasn’t seeing the much circulated pictures of War torn Africa that Foreign media like to project

Speaking on Livespot X Festival, the Chief Creative Director, Livespot360, Dare Art Alade, had this to say,

“We know how much love the fans have for Cardi B and this was one of the reasons we chose to give fans a special experience to see the queen of hip-hop live in Lagos. However, we also are aware of the massive appeal of some of our Nigerian music acts. The show will definitely have been incomplete without these music stars, and this is why we all had a great time at Live Spot Festival”.

One of the highlights of her brief stay in Lagos was her visit to a strip club. The songwriter, who is also a former stripper, was in the company of Nigerian-American singer, Jidenna.

Not only did the strippers entertain her, Cardi B also sprayed them with wads of cash.

Going home she paid homage to Nigerian Beer which she remarked was loaded cos she said she felt F___ked up just after one bottle even though in Yankee she can drinl bottles of Champagne and not feel a thing.

While in the club, the DJ repeatedly played Cardi’s songs as her fans jostled to get a ‘selfie’ with the acclaimed rap queen.

She even still had the Time to show her humanitarian side visiting an Orphanage where she donated a truck load of gifts and other items that really warmed the hearts of the proprietors.

Before she left the country, the television personality was given a Nigerian name– Chioma B. Her visit will, no doubt, leave indelible memories in the minds of her numerous fans.

Indeed if the short stay was anything to go by, Cardi will definitely constitute herself as an Ambassador of Naija to anyone who cares to listen in Nigeria.
