Chelsea would have been table toppers now had they not lost to Burnley on Match day one of the 2017/18 premiership season but after that painful and frustrating loss the defending champions have now gone on to take maximum points from the next three games beating hard fighting Leceister city at the king power stadium on Saturday afternoon after wins against Tottenham and Everton 2-1 and 2-0 respectively.

Antonio Conte once again started Cesc Fabregas playing a more attacking role as Tiemoune Bakayoko and Ngolo Kante held sway in the middle of the park.Eden Hazard was fit again to play but didn’t start and also Captain Gary Cahill was still out due to suspension. The game started well for the champions as they had better possession forcing Leceister to conceed corners early stages of the game but could not convert from set pieces with Pedro and Alvaro Moratta missing chances.
Leceister city wasted the opportunity to break the deadlock when Islam Slimani’s shot was dealt with by Thibaut Courtois after a fine run from Riyad Mahrez and on the other end Wes Morgan was able to stop the blues going one goal up with his timely interceptions forcing a corner kick, but it was Chelsea who opened scoring after Ceaser Azpilicueta’s cross found Moratta and the Spaniard nodded in his third headed goal in four games. 41 minutes 1-0 Chelsea.

Alvaro Morata scored again as Chelsea beat Leicester 2-1
The second half started with same steam from Antonio Conte’s men which paid off five minutes later as Ngolo Kante made it two for the blues, scoring his second premiership goal since October last year when he scored against Manchester United. The home team didn’t want to go down at home without a fight so they came all out fighting for every ball and with the introduction of pacy winger Demerai Gray,Jamie Vardy had more room to operate inside Chelsea’s vital area. It was one of those occasions that Courtois mistimed his tackle to bring down the England international and yes! it was a penalty..62minutes Vardy converted to reduce the deficit.
Eden Hazard and Willian were later introduced to add fire power to the attack as the home team were starting to gain confidence of getting a point out of the encounter..Both had opportunities for more goals but wasted the efforts..but in the end David Luis and Antonio Rudiger did well to keep Vardy and co at bay..Conte will be proud of his boys after the Misfortune of match day 1, They are now third (3rd)on the log behind Man United and Man City with nine points.(9points)
